Nicola Swan
Nicola is a partner in Chapman Tripp’s Dispute Resolution practice, leads the firm’s International Law practice, and co-chairs the firm’s Climate, Sustainability and ESG practice. Nicola acts on international arbitration, public international law and private international law contentious matters, most recently for an offshore client in one of New Zealand’s largest commercial arbitration awards to be challenged in the New Zealand High Court. Nicola is an AMINZ and CIArb Fellow, a member of the ICC’s New Zealand Arbitration Nominations Commission, and a member of an ICCA expert working group on State-to-State conciliation under the Paris Agreement. Nicola also advises a wide range of corporate, banking, funds and insurance clients in New Zealand on climate related financial risk and disclosure and is counsel on several major climate-related litigation proceedings in New Zealand and overseas courts.

Victoria Heine KC
Victoria Heine has a broad litigation practice. It ranges from case under the Commerce Act involving alleged misuse of market power, various proceedings under the Fair Trading Act for both traders and the Commerce Commission, to common law equity and contract cases. She has defended a number of high profile judicial reviews involving climate issues and also appeared as counsel in the Environment Court in cases involving green infrastructure.
As part of “giving back”, Victoria is a board member of Equestrian Sport New Zealand which is the national sporting body for all equestrian disciplines, and is teaching Civil Remedies at Victoria University Law School. When not working she can usually be found digging and planting in the large garden is developing north of Wellington.

Olaf Adam
Olaf has 22 years of combined banking experience, stretching across roles in Property Finance, Debt Recoveries, Credit Strategy and Sustainability. Having led a number of climate-related initiatives for Westpac, including authoring Westpac’s climate-related disclosures, Olaf is well versed in the close link between ESG and financial impact.
In supporting their customers in their transition towards a low emissions and climate-resilient economy, Olaf and his team are keeping a close eye on climate litigation as a potential source of risk, but also as guide-rails for stakeholder expectations.

Gracey Campbell
Gracey Campbell is a senior lawyer in the Dispute Resolution, Investigations and Regulatory team at the Bank of New Zealand. She manages significant litigation matters involving the Bank, provides legal support for the Bank’s regulatory and compliance functions as well as general advice to the Bank’s business units to assist them in managing potential claims by or against the Bank.
Gracey has also worked as an Investment Manager at global dispute finance provider Omni Bridgeway and as a lawyer in private practice at law firms in both New Zealand and Australia.

Daniel Kalderimis
Daniel Kalderimis has over 20 years’ experience as a versatile, effective and proven advocate who provides an edge in a wide range of complex disputes.
With broad experience and interests, he has a dedicated focus on advocacy in international arbitrations across the Asia-Pacific region. Daniel is also active in commercial and public law litigation, including in the emerging area of legal duties and climate change.
Daniel is widely recognised for his expertise in international arbitration, public and private international law and cross-border dispute resolution. He regularly acts as counsel in international arbitrations and has experience as an ICC arbitrator. Daniel acted on the first bilateral investment treaty arbitration held in New Zealand. Daniel is New Zealand’s national correspondent to UNCITRAL for the New York Convention and the Model Law.
